51st International Mathematics Olympiad in Kazakhstan

Having started in 1959 in Romania, International mathematics olympiad will be held in Kazakhstan in 2010.

Olympiad flag arrived at our country after being in Germany. Set out from Almaty, travelling South Kazakhstan and Kizilorda regions, the Olympiad flag came to Kazakhstan’s oil capital Atyrau. The fact that world intellectual community has chosen Kazakhstan as the host of the 51st  Olympiad is a great joy and pride for us.
The trust and respect shown to our country and to our gifted youth fosters our, Atyrau kazakh-turkish high school students, interest and thrive for attaining great goals in the Olympiad.
We solemnly welcomed the Olympiad flag in our school and celebrated this outstanding science event. Such prominent personalities who have gretaly contributed to mathematics as professor Ikhsanov Yersayin, doctor of physics and mathematics sciences; Abdirov Akkabil, docent of Atyrau State University; and a famous mathematician Fazilov Sungat attended the meeting and told the students about the history of International mathematics Olympiad. The students of the school organized the science fair, poster competition and mathematical-logical games due to this event.
