Information about ‘KATEV’ International Foundation

‘KATEV’ International Foundation, being a golden bridge of friendship and concord between the two countries, makes its contribution into the development of culture and education throughout Kazakhstan.

‘KATEV’ International Foundation was established in 1997 on the basis of agreement between Kazakhstan and Turkey in 1992 in order to coordinate the educational institutions of Turkish side.


Under the guidance of ‘KATEV’ International Foundation the following institutions are present:

28 kazakh-turkish high schools, Suleyman Demirel University, Jambil economic college in Taraz, ‘Shahlan’ primary school, and ‘NurOrda’ International school.

It is widely known that nowadays kazakh-turkish high schools have been given high credit among the people and have been excellently evaluated by the governing institutions.


Our history

Not long ago did commence our blue flag, a symbol of our sovereignty, to proudly hover over the Kazakh land glorified by akyns.

In 1991 when Kazakhstan acquired its independence, Republic of Turkey was one of the first to recognize it and reached out its hand of friendship. Since then, close friendly relationship between two countries have begun in the fields of economy, politics and culture.

Kazakh and Turkish people are tied by historical roots with each other. During Soviet Union and other times the relations among our people were lost. With the arrival of independence, these relations were restored.

The opening of the ‘KATEV’ International Foundation is the achievement of sovereignty.
 
Aim

‘KATEV’ International Foundation is the golden bridge between related peoples of Kazakhstan and Turkey in the field of culture and education development.
 
The prime aim is to educate competitive specialists that will be able to compete with developed countries on the international level; demonstrate their skills in the field of education, technology, art and culture; preserve and develop national values of their people.
